Our new relaxing theme park game, Cozysters, got a lot of attention even just based off of screenshots and, after a few days, the trailer. That finally came out today, though it’s taking time to make it to all the storefronts. You can easily get it through our own storefront for either $5 or as part of the $4/month smol pass.
The smol pass system, which also launched today, is our attempt to make something that’s kind of like a Patreon and kind of like a bigger company’s subscription service, sitting somewhere in between. We can’t claim it’s the best value, but the value will improve over time — and you get the joy of supporting an indie team. This has already given our team a small amount of recurring revenue that ensures we can sweat a little less about upkeep.
Our goal here is to build momentum to turn smol farm into a company you can love as much as one can love a company. We’re not seeking an IPO or venture capitalist funds with the smol farm umbrella. The goal is to make money, but if you feel like our relationship is not considerably better than with big companies, we have failed. We just want the resources to continue to bring you more and cooler games (and more!) for you to enjoy.
We’ve also released Xorientation and some of our macOS apps on the store as well, which are also available through the passes. This gets you apps like smolsky, a super convenient way to post to Bluesky.
We still have a long way to go to be a truly established and thriving studio, but let today be the start of meaningfully building toward that. Your smol farm account may only be able to be used for a few things now, but this is only the beginning.
Back to content that isn’t a thinly veiled ad next time! Thanks for your support.
